SOFT MACHINE !!! Mon tout premier concert..C'était à Liège, fin 1969 ! Un groupe pas facile d'approche ert inhabituel dans sa composition : un batteur-chanteur-leader, Robert Wyatt. Un claviériste, Mike Ratledge. Un bassiste, Hugh Hopper. Pas de guitariste...Et pourtant, je n'oublierai jamais l' "énormité" du son d'un concert en live....Soft Machine, fondé en 1966 par Robert Wyatt a connu une grande quantité de musiciens différents , jusque la séparation du "vrai" Soft Machine en 1981, Et une dizaine d'album. Parmi ces musiciens il y eu entr'autre, les guitaristes Kein Ayers et Daevid Allen (parti fonder Gong). Mais en 1971, Wyatt s'en va fonder Matching Mole...Le groupe devenait de plus en plus "jazz", avec beaucoup de cuivres. La musique du groupe a toujours été "underground", "compliquée"...Et on sait que Wyatt a perdu l'usage de ses jambes dans un accident.Il a continué à enregistrer des albums solo. Quand je repense à cette expérience, ce premier concert...A cette époque, je n'étais pas au premier rang et ne photographiais pas !!! Un de mes concerts suivants sera.....Black Sabbath ! PS : je n'ai jamais rien achetté de Soft Machine !! De Gong, oui...
